For more information on Eye Protection see below.

We offer a range of Bolle Safety Glasses which all offer leading eye protection solutions for the workplace.

Eye protection provision and wearing is a requirement under the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations. Eye Protection should be worn in hazardous environments where there is the risk of projectiles damaging the eyes.

Our range of Bolle Safety Glasses meets the requirements of EN166, the European Standard for Industrial Eye Protection. This not only includes requirements for liquid, dust and molten metal protection but also impact performance with all of our Bolle Safety Glasses capable of withstanding low energy impact.

Bolle Safety Glasses can only be offered as low energy impact eye protection. This is mainly because Safety Glasses sit on the wearers nose where all impact energy has to be absorbed. If higher impacts are expected then Safety Goggles and Safety Faceshields must be looked at.

Bolle Safety Glasses marked EN166 1F meet this requirement and are optically correct hence they can be worn for several hours without risk of headaches.

Before choosing the type of Safety Eyewear you require you should first consider the type of hazard being encountered and the best form of eyewear appropriate for that hazard.

Type of hazard:
Mechanical - Flying debris, dust or molton metal.
Chemical - Fumes, gases or liquid splash.
Radiation - Heat (Infra-red), ultraviolet light or glare.
Laser light - Over a wide spectrum of wavelengths from Ultraviolet to Infra-red.

Type of eye protector:
Safety Glasses - Comfortable and available in a variety of styles. Will not keep out dust, gas or molten metal. Bolle models are available with prescription lenses.
Safety Goggle - Can provide protection for all types of hazards. May be worn over glasses.
Safety Faceshield - Protects the face as well as the eyes but does not keep out dust or gas. Comfortable to use for long periods.

If high impact is expected then Safety Goggles or Safety Faceshields are more appropriate as they spread the force of the impact across the face rather than just the nose which is what our Bolle Safety Glasses do.

Various shades of lenses are available for specialised industries such as Foundries, Glass Working and Welding. Different lens shades can also enhance vision for tasks such as inspection.
